Walter HilgersBeing in Munich to visit friends, Walter Hilgers also checked out some of the new developments at Wenzel Meinl and had his F-Tuba 45QH-S serviced before leaving for Italy.

Walter Hilgers was born 1959 in Stolberg/Rhineland. He studied at the Music CD TubadourAcademy Rhineland (Division CD TubaroqueAachen) and won the soloist diploma in 1978. He played in various orchestras for 18 years and got important impulses of conductors like Karajan, Abbado, Maazel, Barenboim, Levine and Günther Wand. He studied conducting with Michael Luig and was appointed Professor for chamber music at the Franz-Liszt-Hochschule in Weimar.
