Walter
Hilgers was born 1959 in Stolberg/Rhineland. He studied at the
Music Academy
Rhineland (Division Aachen)
and won the soloist diploma in 1978. He played in various orchestras
for 18 years and got important impulses of conductors like Karajan,
Abbado, Maazel, Barenboim, Levine and Günther Wand. He studied
conducting with Michael Luig and was appointed Professor for
chamber music at the Franz-Liszt-Hochschule in Weimar. |
