David Zambon recently

Zambon began his studies at the Nice Conservatoire National de
Région, in the class of his father Bruno Zambon, and he
received further training with Mel
Culbertson. He then entered the Paris Conservatoire National
Supérieur de Musique in 1994 when he joined Fernand Lelong's
class. While attending jointly Alain Savouret's and Rainer Boech's
classes in Generative Improvisation, he won 1st prize in Tuba
in 1997 and completed advanced study programs to obtain his teaching
credentials and a diploma in Tuba with Gérard Buquet in
1999. In 1998, he won the Avant-Scène Competition and
in 2000, both the Second Prize and the Jury's Special Prize at
the International Competition inn Cheju, Korea, as well as the
Second Price at the International Competition in Brno, Czech
Republic. Since July 1999, he is professor for tuba and chamber
music at the National Academy of Area of Montpellier and also
directs the l'orchestre d'harmonie and the Brass Ensemble there.
He is a also professor invited to the Training course d'été
"Musical Meetings of Lorraine".
David Zambon is a temporary musician in various orchestras: Philharmonic
orchestra of Monaco, Orchestrates P.A.C.A., Opéra of Nice,
Opéra of Paris, Orchestre National of Capitole of Toulouse
season 1999-2000, Orchestre Bordeaux Aquitaine, Orchestre of
Strasbourg, Orchestre of Caen, Orchestre Lamoureux Concerts.
David Zambon is member of the trio "Innovated" with
the pianist Patrick Zygmanowski and accordeonist Jean-Marc Fabiano.
